Owning a handgun is only the beginning—build the skills to use it safely and decisively. This four-hour course introduces holster work, efficient gun handling, and defensive shooting fundamentals.

Pistol Foundations turns basic familiarity into a reliable defensive-skill platform. Students learn a safe, repeatable draw from the holster and refine the grip, sights, trigger, and recoil control needed for consistent performance. The course introduces efficient reloads, malfunction problem-solving, and accountable shooting at practical distances. Drills are progressive and approachable, with coaching that rewards control before speed. Graduates leave prepared for structured personal practice and the prerequisites of Odyssey’s advanced pistol courses.
